Yardley Makefield Soccer (YMS) has entered into a multi-year partnership with Holy Ghost Preparatory School for usage of the school’s new Duaime Athletic Center synthetic turf field beginning in the fall of 2023.

YMS is constantly working to improve the facilities for our club membership. This exclusive long-term soccer partnership will provide field space in addition to the club’s primary location at Macclesfield Park. YMS teams will be able to utilize the HGP complex for games, which will help the club expand its scheduling, maintain its existing facilities, and become less dependent on the weather. The complex will also be utilized for its annual YMS EPIC Tournament, beginning in May 2024.

“YMS remains dedicated to offering best in class programming for the over 2,000 players in our recreation and travel programs,” says YMS president George Schlieben. “We believe that this partnership will further this mission and would like to thank Holy Ghost Prep for granting YMS the opportunity to use this state-of-the-art game day facility.”

“The partnership is a win-win for both Holy Ghost Prep and YMS Soccer,” says Holy Ghost Prep president Gregory J. Geruson ’79. “It allows YMS, a program with close ties to Ghost, to have use of a brand new turf field with lights for its continued growth. It also allows us to have a large number of youth soccer players on our campus—getting familiar with our campus and all the great things that happen at Ghost.”

The multi-million-dollar outdoor athletic complex, named for Rev. Jeffrey Duaime, C.S.Sp.’76 (an HGP alum who was the school’s president and served on the Board of Trustees), will include a state-of-the-art, multi-sport turf field, a new running track, new and expanded seating, and lights. Construction of the new complex will begin this spring and it will be open in time for the start of the 2023 fall season.
