YMS Junior Player Board

We are excited to announce the launch of the new Yardley Makefield Soccer (YMS) Junior Player Board, an incredible opportunity for our youth players to actively contribute to the growth and development of our soccer community.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Age: 15-18 years and high school student (must be 15 years old by the application deadline)
• Enrollment: Currently enrolled in a YMS soccer program

COMMITMENT:

• Meetings: Monthly (live or virtual)
• Time: 4-6 hours per month. Members will be expected to also volunteer hours for the annual YMS EPIC tournament
• Tenure: 1 year

OBJECTIVES:

• Youth Perspective:
  • Provide valuable insights and fresh perspectives on club initiatives, ensuring they resonate with younger players and families.
• Community Outreach:
  • Act as ambassadors for the club within the local community, fostering strong relationships and expanding our reach to new players, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Leadership Development:
  • Offer young members an opportunity to hone their leadership skills through real-world experience in a supportive environment.
• Fundraising and Sponsorship:
  • Collaborate on fundraising strategies and assist in seeking sponsorships to enhance the club's financial stability, providing more affordable soccer opportunities to local youth.
• Player Development:
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to support the holistic development of players, including skill-building programs, mentorship opportunities, and fostering a positive team culture.
