Mike McMonagle is in his 13th season as a trainer and coach at YMS. Mike has been in the Game as a player and a coach for over 50 years.  At YMS he has trained girls and boys teams from U11 to U17.   Mike has coached 2 of those teams to PA State Challenge Cup victories and two league titles. Mike has also run winter training sessions at the YMS TEC for recreational and travel players helping to improve their soccer skills and give them a love for the Game.

Prior to YMS, Mike coached girls and boys at Upper Dublin SC, Ukrainian Nationals, FC Delco, FC Bucks and Vincent United. Mike coached 2 PA State Cup Champion teams and multiple Cup Finalist teams during that tenure.  Mike also coached girls at Owen J. Roberts HS and Upper Dublin HS and boys at Wissahickon HS and Central Bucks South HS. Mike also coached collegiate women at Temple University in 2001.

Mike played 13 seasons in the United League of PA for KSPO, Ukrainian Nationals and VE.  Mike holds a National B level coaching license from US Soccer.

Mike graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a B.A. in English.  He ran cross country and track while at Hawk Hill and played soccer with the University Alumni team as an undergraduate.

Mike retired from Munich Reinsurance America in Princeton, NJ in 2021 after a 43-year career in the insurance business.   Mike and his wife Teresa live in Yardley with their two dogs, Mika and Kai.
