AMANDA KIRBY

Amanda has been with YMS since she played with the club in high school.  She started training and coaching at YMS in 2013.  

Amanda attended Conwell-Egan Catholic High School and was a four-year varsity starter.  She continued my education and soccer career at Gwynedd- Mercy University and graduated with a degree in secondary education in history and a minor in psychology. She earned her masters at Capella University in psychology, sport psychology, and coaching and leadership.  

In 2012, Amanda started coaching at Holy Ghost Preparatory High School with Coach David Simpson. She also teaches at HGP in the social studies department.   

Amanda has always had a passion for soccer and really loves coaching! She holds her E and D EPYSA coaching licenses as well as her National Coaching Diploma from NSCAA.  Along with these achievements, Amanda says she’s “been able to learn from the best: John Greaves and David Simpson among our talented trainers.” She loves being a part of the YMS family.  

In her spare time, Amanda loves indulging in homemade mac and cheese. She is also a huge fan of Disney, mainly Winnie the Pooh and friends.  She played 4 years of college lacrosse and was privileged to play in the NCAA tournament.
