Cole Sotack is a passionate and accomplished coach who brings over five years of coaching experience and NCAA Division I playing credentials to his role at YMS. Originally from Doylestown, PA, Cole attended Central Bucks East and YSC Academy, a school designed specifically for players aspiring to compete at the highest levels. As a youth, he trained in the Philadelphia Union Academy and participated in preseason with Union II, gaining valuable exposure to professional environments.

Cole played four years of collegiate soccer at Rutgers University, where he earned multiple accolades. He was named Freshman of the Year, received Academic All-Big Ten honors twice, was selected to the Academic All-District Team, and was recognized by the NCAA National Team of the Week. He also helped lead Rutgers to a Big Ten Tournament Championship in 2022. After Rutgers, he continued his collegiate career at Rider University, where he contributed to the team's 2024 MAAC Regular Season Championship and was named to the MAAC All-Championship Team.

At YMS, Cole is the head coach of the 2016 Boys team. His coaching philosophy centers on developing players both technically and personally, emphasizing joy, effort, and character. “Teach players to love football and motivate them to always want to improve,” he says. He believes that character development is just as important as learning technique, and takes pride in creating an environment that fosters both.

One of Cole’s favorite parts of coaching is watching players grow—seeing their skills sharpen and their love for the game deepen with every session. His advice to players is simple and effective: “Never give up and push yourself to want to get better every day.”

Cole recently earned his USSF Grassroots License, showing his commitment to continued learning and coaching development. Off the field, he is pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rider University, a path that reflects his holistic approach to athlete development. A dedicated fan of Real Madrid, Cole brings energy, focus, and perspective to everything he does on the field.
