A Yardley, Pennsylvania native and lifelong YMS player, Meredith Webber brings deep club roots, competitive drive, and a player-first mindset to her role as a coach at YMS.

Meredith played soccer at Pennsbury High School before going on to compete at the NCAA Division I level for UMBC – University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Over her 15-year playing career at YMS and into college, she collected numerous honors, including being named to the All-America East Rookie Team, earning the title of UMBC Rookie of the Year, and serving as team captain—recognition that speaks to both her on-field performance and leadership qualities.

Now in her second year coaching at YMS, Meredith leads the YMS Flames and has quickly made her mark. In the 2024 season, she guided her team to a trifecta of achievements: Eastern PA State Cup Champions, EDP Division Winners, and Nationals participants. This run of success stands out as her favorite coaching memory so far, underscoring the culture of excellence she cultivates. Her impact was further recognized when she was named a 2024 EDP Promising Coach—a distinction earned through her work at YMS.

Before joining the YMS coaching staff, Meredith gained experience working with the University of Pennsylvania Club Soccer program, where she continued developing her passion for mentorship and team building.

Meredith’s coaching philosophy focuses on creating a non-soccer culture that allows the soccer to thrive. She believes players perform best when they are seen and supported as people first. “My girls are people first and I will always advocate for them in every way I can,” she says.

A fierce competitor, Meredith finds joy in the grind of competition. “I love to compete and I pride myself on being a competitor in everything I do.” Her message to her players is clear and constant: “Never lose the joy.”

Off the field, Meredith enjoys lifting, reading, and writing—she even maintains her own personal blog. She supports whichever team her best friend and former Xplosion teammate plays.
