KYLE PILGREN
Kyle Pilgren is a dedicated and experienced coach at YMS, bringing over 8 years of coaching experience and a lifetime of passion for the game. A native of Levittown, PA, Kyle grew up in the club, playing for 15 years at YMS, and now coaches multiple teams including Courage, Venom, and Strikers.
After graduating from Pennsbury High School, Kyle went on to play collegiate soccer at Bucks County Community College, where he contributed to a strong and competitive program. That chapter of his playing career helped reinforce his love for the game and set the stage for his transition into coaching.
As a coach, Kyle is all about building confidence through accountability and hard work. His sessions are focused, energetic, and rooted in the belief that success starts with belief in yourself. He often reminds his players: “Work harder than the next guy.” His style is structured but supportive—pushing players to take ownership of their development while knowing he has their back.
One of his proudest moments as a coach came in 2024, when he led his U16 boys team to a Challenge Cup Championship. It was a culmination of months of effort and commitment, and a highlight in a career that’s still growing strong.
Kyle holds a USSF C License, which reflects his ongoing dedication to advancing his knowledge and skills as a coach. He places high value on developing not only strong athletes, but also responsible, resilient individuals who can carry those lessons beyond the game.
Off the field, Kyle is a proud father of two and a committed fan of both Philadelphia sports teams and Newcastle United. Whether coaching on the sideline or cheering from the stands, his love for soccer is ever-present—and contagious to those around him.
