Sunday 9/11/11 at 3pm is the Meet & Greet at Edgewood
YMS Soccer is excited to add our new “Special Stars” soccer division, a new program for children and young adults with Autism and Aspergers, ages 6 – 17 years old. Depending on the number of players that register, we will organize them in groups based on age and their abilities. We will hopefully have a; Beginners, Medium and High Skill Levels. The athletes will be placed where they can best excel and have fun in our program.
This is a family league and all aspects of our decisions will be in the best interest of our players and our ability to support those needs. We will provide Mentors and Coaches who will help and guide players and families during the practices and games, but we still require family support. This will help foster a better bonding experience as you see their growth week by week. All practices and games will be held on Sundays. 

Support:
We encourage active participants from the players family members, however we are also looking for this program to provide an area that other community members can help. We  encourage any young adult that would like to help and get community service credit, we encourage their participation.
Also we encourage college students whose studies include education / special education degrees to become active participants in the program.
