In House Frequently Asked Questions

1)Q: How much does it cost to join the In House Recreational League?

A: It costs $110 per player and the fee includes a full kit ( which is a jersey, shorts and socks.) and each player gets a participation trophy at the end of the season. There is a $40.00 late fee ( see website dates for late time period.)

For the Sunday morning 7 v 7 League the cost is $80.00 per player.

Q:What else does the player need to bring?
A: The player needs to wear sneakers /or cleats and MUST wear shin guards at all practices and games. A practice ball with their name on it is not required but is helpful to practice with at the field or at home. Please make sure you write your child’s name on the ball.

Q:What if I cannot practice on the night or the time that my coach picks to practice?
A: You can have your coach speak with any of the other coaches and they will allow you to practice with the other teams if need be. You cannot however switch teams.

Q:Do you honor carpool or neighbor/friend requests?
A:Unfortunately with over 1000 players to place each season, we do not honor these requests unless they are very special circumstances. We would not be able to do this for one and not allow others. The YMS organization believes in team building as well as interaction amongst peers and part of that is meeting new children by placing them on random teams.

Q: How many weeks does the season go for?

A: Each season we try to get in 8-10 weeks of play, depending on the calendar year and holidays. The schedules are posted on the website.

6) Q: What if I forget my password for my account?
All you need is the email you signed up with, OR your home phone number, OR mother’s maiden name. It will send you the password to your email. If you change your email, please email us at ymspremier@comcast.net , or before you change it , log into your account and change it before the upcoming season so you can get in.

7)Q: Do you have to have any experience to sign up to coach?
A: Although helpful, we only require a good attitude and a willingness to learn and teach. Get out there and PLAY with your kids! ALL VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!

Q: What time are practices?
A: Practices are determined by your volunteer coach. The coaches get their assigned teams and then they decide what night of the week they will hold a practice.
Q: What are the games?
A: Games are generally held on Saturdays( some Sundays if we need make ups or to go around holidays. The game times are determined after all sign ups are in. It all depends on how many children sign up and field availability. Games are between 8 am and 4 pm and your coach will let you know your schedule when they call you for the first practice.
